Book lovers are going to love this project, as we know very well how important visual depictions of book characters are. The magic can be easily lost as often studios cast the wrong actors to play famous book heroes, causing the outrage of the fans.

In this case though, no one can argue that these are pretty accurate portrayals of your literature gods. The Composites, is an ongoing project that presents police sketches of some of the most famous fictional characters, based on what the book descriptions suggest. Created by artist and filmmaker Brian Joseph Davis these images are manipulated using a commercially available law enforcement sketch software.

The sketches are undoubtedly fair to the writers’s visions and make the viewer feel as if the books\’ words have been turned into images. The most shocking of the depictions is how different The Monster from Frankenstein looks like, different than the movie\’s dark, grotesque version of it. (via)
